Anyone changed catalytic converter on a 182??

Got an advisory on mine in the MOT today, Renault have quoted £1050 to replace the cat and front pipe.

Anyone had to replace theirs??

not difficult to replace but the cat is very expensive new from renault.

my car failed the emmisions test on monday but they passed it ... iv got standard cat with BTB exhaust

I didnt even want to phone renault to get a price on a new one! £1050 are they joking! Get a sports cat and get Steve to fit it!! much cheaper at £300 and there the same 200 cell. Have you got a SS exhasut?

Yeah the Renault quote was labour £101.47 and parts £947.58!!!!!

What's a sports cat and how does it differ?? (Steve can fit them??!!)
I've got a Janspeed exhaust on.

what did it actually say on the advisory ? plus its only a advisory so it dosent need to be done now so i woulnt worry to much about it maybe get a second oppinion it is renault after all

Yeah, just get a Janspeed sports cat.... the quieter version. Think its 200 cell.

The price of std ones are nuts..... damn those presious metals !!!
