anyone else find the dip stick on f4r's completely useless?

On the valver/willy you could wipe it with a rag, dip it in and bobs yer dad a reading.

On the 172 its rag dip, randomness! it was like this on the last block so i'm hazarding a guess that they're all like this!

It just seems so hard to read and inconsistent, I find doing it 4 or 5 times gives you a 'rough' idea but I'm concerned in the long run of over filling or just as bad not having enough in!

I'll just have to be careful I guess, never put any in, I don't expect to have to top it up much between services.
