Anyone ever run a stock valeo clutch in a 240hp 180lbft f4r?

Car  C63 AMG, F430 & 172
Just about to buy a clutch, my car will be making the above fiqures but probably a bit less!

Trying to save buying a helix/alcon etc.

Do you think it will just melt on track/fast road? lol?

:( just looking into volvo ones now!

Fred, how much is a OEM pressure plate and bearing?

yeah, just hoping i can get it a bit cheaper if i dont need a plate! Can buy a helix cermetalic plate for £80

had a 4 paddle cerametalic helix in my old SC saxo. was spot on, changed my pedal feel massively however but worth every penny. that was upwards of £400 back then though!

that was 250hp and with track abuse as a priority!

a valeo supplied clutch is identical to a new one from renault (well all the ones i've seen anyway) but £50ish cheaper!

clutch is £100 for a valeo, fitting is a few quid, 7hour job give or take

Out of curiosity Fred, Do you do accept odd jobs? EG clutch changes etc at cash in hand prices?

Just wandering for when i need mine doing is all :)

Can get clutches built very cheap that will be able to handle 240 bhp no messing. A lot of the lads in the drag racing circuit use this bloke

Hes just fabricated a paddle clutch for my Ibiza for £160 and its fantastic. Hes also skimmed my solid flywheel and tested the pressure plate and its good for 350 - 400 bhp. The work is 1st class - just take your old clutch down with your flywheel and leave it with him

Ask for Mick
