Anyone fitted there GDI coilovers yet?

not had any fitted, but took the GDI demo round the parade laps at RWS and let traffic move away so I could have a play and it's simply unreal

Track is an easy place to make suspension look good! just make it hard.

I've been to Donny before a few times though, so I have something to base it on... plus it was driven on the road for 250 miles that day too with most of it being country lanes

I've done the track before and found I could be totally pedestrian in a car I dont know and still corner faster and with more confidence than in mine or my Williams. Just think of it as when you go buy a new handbag, the one you have is good and upto the job, but you still buy the new one after only briefly carrying your manpons round Debenhams. Common sense also helps too

I will post all the info on the kit i have tonight hopefully. am callin in to see the guys on the way home to get photo emailed to me etc and they are givin me all the info and spec of the product. ill do my best to get it done later on. all i know is they are goin to be cheaper than the gdi kit.

There in a much better class than the fk's. There made by a maufacturer that have been makin suspension for longer than almost any other company. ill post all that later. fk's are fairly cheap. there 4 coilovers too

Like i said. Anyone can make a car GRIP better. suspension is not just about grip!!! Its about the feel of the thing! HANDLING is the key word. On the track you just make the car rock hard, loads of camber and put some really sticky tires on it. It makes it feel 'UNREAL'. It tells you almost nothing about the suspension setup whatsoever!!! Most of the cars here only ever go on the road anyway and maybe do the odd trackday. You cant test something just on the track as in 99% of cases it will spend most of its time on the road!

you need to call Andy as they are made to the customers requirements as in the case for me as i will be doing a lot of track work and i am running toyo r888 tyres i have had some different valves in the damper than some one that whants to run normal road tyres on track and it is the same for some one that whants them for just road use .

there are three different variants with the dampers as well oil filled / oil and gas filled / the oil and gas filled with a remote gas reservoir

Sounds like all the options that were avaliable to me when I ordered my LEDA's except valves for different in the dampers for the type of tyre you use ... do you drive your car to circuits and use it on the road?

yes i do drive it to the circuits and i do drive it on the road as well it is a road car no cage and the full interior is still in just had some work done to it to improve the car for track use and for some reason it has made it beter on the road :S i have even had the horrid pins removed from the sach dampers so they are adjustable but i have reached the point where i need to go to the next level but i did not want some of the shelf suspension that would be OK for the road but be a compromise for track like the h and r coilovers or OK for track but really bad for road use like the gaz coilovers i asked different tuning companies about the different options and Andy was the only one to say jump in and see what you think .

they are Leda strut castings
they are 24 peace adjustable adjustable with three options
1 oil filled
2 oil and gas filled
3 oil and gas with a remote gas canister
they are made to what the customer requires
where i will be using toyo R888 tyres as they are a very soft tyre they require a different valve setup than standard road tyres and slicks
they have got Eibach springs and are fully height adjustable
i hope this gives people a beter idea about them
