Anyone get a VIN number from a reg plate?

Because of the engine transplant I have no idea about what the VIN number is from the donor car which I think I need to input for RS Tuner to work.
Any help greatly appreciated!!!

i think it can be gotten from a reg but not 100% sure

im getting an RStuner tonight, cnt wait to try her out!
