i havent seen one of their recessed exhausts up close, but the rest of their new exhausts are very good quality.
I would rather stick a fork in my eye than hand over my hard earned cash to those monkeys.I had a super quick 5 and payed them a lot of money to build me an engine which went bang big time.I told the guys that there was a problem with it pinking they assured me it was not and one month later a ruined engine and the cost of another engine build, i then looked in to it my self and found it had the wrong ecu.Cheers K-Tec.

but yeah i always thought ktec were alrite but everyone keeps telling me not to go to them. that recessed exhaust looks great and they boast its their best ultra performance one so i am tempted. just wanna see others opinions and if anyone has it before the go ahead :rasp:

This is the first I have heard about this.
I test drive all cars and yours would not have been pinking when you collected it. We are also unable to test the fresh engines under any strain/boost as there is a running in period to do. This is why we like to have the cars back after 1000 miles to check everything over, increase the boost and make sure everything is running as it should. If it was pinking and contiued to do so after you had the car back do you not think it would have been worth popping the car back down to us as you are only in Poole? Instead it seams like you continued to run it at some boost with it still detonating. We are always happy to look at anyones car whether we have worked on it or not.

Oh and back to the exhaust question. Mach10 I think you will be very pleased with it. It is one of the first new systems to be developed this year and looks and spunds superb once fitted.

If i had realised it was still pinking i would not have kept driving it, i used to run it up the dual carrige way to see if i could hear it pinking with the assistance with the arm-co to reboud the sound .It killed two head gaskets before you played with it and told you this.When I looked in to it myself I found that the Renix unit was not retarding the timing when it came on boost which as most will know leads to a dead engine.If i had not paid top dollar for you to diagnose the problem and built me an engine i would not be complaining.If i painted one of your cars and rust started to pop through i think you would have something to say.

Yes, I would have something to say but directly to the person that painted the car. We warrant all our work and if the headgasket had gone due to something we had done or missed it would be repaired under warranty. All I can say is that it would not have been detonating when it left us and if the detonation was being caused by the ecu not retarding the timing this would have been very evident. We only had a car in a couple of weeks ago with the same problem, we could not get more than 14psi out of it. A new ecu was fitted and it ran 18psi without any problems.
Anyway, this thread was started about a exhaust so if you would like to talk futher either drop me a PM or give me a call. I will also be only too pleased to help you with anything you may want doing to your Williams to help compensate you for the problem you had with the GT Turbo.

i hav the K Tec / Janspeed recessed system and i really like it!! not too loud when at low revs but sounds great when u hammer the throttle!! they look good too and the build quality is great!!! couple it with the Janspeed De Cat and u cant go far wrong dude

I have had the new stealth on for about 6 months now and am very happy with it. Quiet when driving normaly, no drone at cruising speeds 70, 80, 90 etc and louder when putting your foot down.
Might be worth listening to somebodys though as the sounds is not to eveyones taste, bit more raspy than other options available for the clio... i like it though.
