anyone know a induction kit that doesnt require cold air??

ive got a k&N induction kit which requires cold air and when its hot it sounds rubbish and performance is rubbish aswell. however i spoke to this person in the garage and he said to use another kind of induction kit which doesnt require cold air and ive forgotten the name of it....so does anyone know the name of the induction kit that doesnt require cold air?

He probably said to go back to a closed kit that won't be as affected by heat differences.
