Anyone know RAL colours - refurb for alloys

  LY R26, LY 182
As the title suggests.

Wanting to powder coat the 182 alloys. Found a place that does the whole job for what seems like a good deal. Wheels are not kerbed, but have been refurbed before and the paint has chipped off and is flaking a bit, so need stripping really.

I've round RAL 9007 http://www.absolutepowdercoating.com/images/metallics-silver.jpg

It looks dark enough in the pics, but found some other pics where they look pretty silver.

Just wondered if anyone knew/familiar with RAL colours? I want a metallic finish, but there aren't many to choose from, which is as close as possible to the standard anthracite finish.

Cheers, jon

We use RAL colours in work for powder coating, I'll check the colour chart. From what I can remember the colours are quite basic...

Thanks Pal - I was looking at the RAL colours and they have some metallic ones, but only very few and without a chart its hard to see which one matches the standard anthracite wheel the best. Found a powder coating company that will strip & refit the tyres, shot blast the alloys and repair as necessary then powder coat all 4 in any RAL colour for £100. Seems like a good deal, I just want a metallic finish rather than solid.

Da - thanks for the code - if all else fails I'll do it myself, but need em stripping first as they've got a fair few layers of paint starting to chip off.

Cheers Meek - just heard from the powder coaters, they've now got some Anthracite metallic (non RAL) I think - and it looks ok (only seen this photo).

Hopefully it will look ok, but may pop up when I am on a conference at the end of may to have a butchers and decide. Anything will be better than the current finish...!
