anyone on the 3 mobile network?

hi guys

anyone here on the 3 network,i know the call centres are in india but they have some great deals on their website at the moment that are tempting

has anybody had any major problems with them or problems with coverage, calls being cut off/signal etc??

currently on o2 btw(crap) and dont want to go to orange becuase of the crap software they put on all their phones,i use loads of texts and o2's 500 are sometime not enough.

any help would be great

Me too, I'm with O2 but signed up with 3G today over the phone. Sales guy assures me that teething problems are gone but a guy at my work used to have 3G and he had loadsa problems. Think they have things sorted now though.

Anyone with experience of 3G let us know.

what tariff did you go on and what phone? i was looking at the 300 mins and 2000 texts for £30 a month plus a free nokia N70

Orange don't put crap software on their phones.... what software are you referring to? I've been with orange for years on contract and never had a problem.

By the way... 3 is the mobile network, 3G is 3rd generation wireless technology

My bro is on 3 and teh biggest problem seems to be if you get a crap handset, LG and the like. Insurance claim took ages though.

i had an orange 6680 and mates just got a d600 both have the shortcut menus on the left of the main screen....not major but really bugged me and you cant get rid of it.

I'm on 3 with a Nokia 6680 . Never had a problem so far ( touch wood )

im with 3, imo there is nothing wrong with 3 its the phone u get thats sh*t, iv been with them for a year now and in that time went through 3 lg phones which were all as sh*t as each other( 1 went out the van window as it wound me up so much) frined signed up sametime as me and got a nokia 6630 which he still has till this day and has never had a problem with. we could make a call in the same van and his would connect and mine would come up with service unavaible:S . got a new nokia n70 today on upgrade but also got offed a good deal, got 1000 voice min, 50 video min, 150 txt, 50 video msg ,50 pic msg for £30 for the fist 6 months then £60 for the next 6. not bad imo

how come calls to mobiles on the 3 network cost more than any other network? Not been able to work that one out.

I had a guy call me from a company in Wales called Cell Phone Communications or something similar. He has done me on the razr V3X 750 mins anytime any network and 150 texts per month. It is £20 per month for the first 6 months then reverts to £40 per month but I can reduce the tariff after 6 months.

Good deal for the phone and the package, just worried about 3 that's all.

Orange are the best i recommend them to anyone that asks, with regards to "Crap" software, Orange do write there own software for all the phones they release (This is why they do not release new phones striaght away) but it is often much more stable than all of the other networks, they also do add shortcuts often to the gprs system but i have never had a phone crash on me and because the customer service is still in GB (Must be in Scotland) they understand you and more importantly they speak english!!
