Yea, got it......but broke my computer desk...so now cant fit my momo wheel anywhere!!! lol

have to use keypad.

Im using a DFP ...Id highly recommend it you can feel exactly whats going on with the car..I found GTR to be impossible to play without a wheel but with the wheel you can feel to car twitching and correct it ...so realistic

Never a truer word said! I initially lost the lead from my Sidewinder 2 FF wheel that went down to the pedals, so tried using the keyboard instead. 110% impossible - the all-or-nothing nature of keyboard inputs meant that understeer/oversteer was going on nearly all the time.

Once I'd hijacked an RJ11 cable and connected that up to the pedals, I retried it. Absolutely brilliant. Full feedback effects, paddle shift for the gears and an amazing attention to detail. I once recall bombing down to the pit-straight in a Ferrari 360 at Donington and caught the uneven tarmac on the left-hand side near the pit lane exit - waaaaay too quickly. As I braked and turned, the front end went beyond grip, locked up and the wheel started to feel light. The instant I eased off (dumb, I know, but fun!) the steering went immediately heavy and the rear end started to flip around. I would have ended up in the gravel either way, but it was great to see that level of attention in a game.

The only criticism I have for GTR is the almost zero level of corrective oversteer that you can control a car with. Once that tail starts to trade places with the front, no matter how much opposite lock you feed in, the game almost appears to ignore it. I've caught it a few times, but that's very, very rare. Thankfully, GTL has fixed this, imo.

To this day, my favourite track & car combo is Donington with a Lotus Elise. Totally underpowered compared to the other cars, but great handling and a mad redline.

Check out one of the upcoming cars in GTR2............. a TVR T400R. Oh yes, indeedy. :approve:

^^^^ - nope, not long now m8. Some of the screenshots looked like there were no drivers hands like in the original GTR. WTF? That was one of the best additions to GTL! Still, it should be awesome - I'll be buying it for sure...
