It will go bang within a few minutes...... trust me.

I've got a 750va rated 110v transformer. Got the sparky at work to lop-off the Yank cable end and wire it to an IEC (?) plug - one of those big fat, yellow three-pin jobbies. Does the job a treat.

I bought a new transformer through Tooledup.com - I haven't used it yet but it looks suitably robust.

Again, I am going to get a qaualified sparky to look over everything for me prior to use.
