yeah i hold the left for 4 secs, then both bottom ones to fire up, its for insurance purposes i believe, sometimes it is a bit hit and miss, but usually works up to about 50ft?
Yeah, about a week ago. No problems with mine other than getting the dash off, but didn't take long at all. I might give him a ring and ask if there's any way of making the signal stronger!
I have one fitted by that guy, drives a black astra iirc? first problems arose when he didn't screw down the earth properly so it the current moved onto the next control box and set all the wipers off and stuff when i went to open the car!
Had some immoboliser problems with it too, not disengaging properly causing startup issues. Doubt I would get one of them again tbh clifford next time i think.
and back to your topic, signal isn't great on mind either. I could get it 20ft if lucky but sometimes i have to be as close as next to it like you said.
In the instructions to fit it, it says to cut the signal wire so that you can only open it right next to the car - If you got a proper fitter to fit it they probably cut it down, I fitted it myself and left the wire at full length so it works from great distances!
