Top tips

• I rip all my audio using MS Media Player, and always save it as MP3 - that way I can always use it on whatever player I like. Have done since the early days of Winamp

She's probably using the PC version of iTunes and not the Mac version - she'll be looking forever for here "command" and "option" buttons!

Yes mate there is a simple Tick box to stop this. Something along the lines of Letting you manage your music yourself.

Maybe i should try changing a few settings then..... certainly 'out of the box' it's not the best software I've ever used. I prefer the media library in WMP 11 tbh.

I'll give it another go... although I haven't used my ipod for that long I've forgotten where it is lol.
