Apple customer service - superb.

I have mentioned a couple of times my 3G iPhone is not great on battery.

Went in to the oxford street one looking for toys, spoke to a guy and commented regarding battery life, he said bring it, we'll have a look and might change it.

Went back on Monday with my 3G and 2G iPhones, they diagnosed them, acknowledged there was a fault on the batteries, came out with two brand spanking new phones.

The service was great, so well organized and genuinely interested in helping.

I may have to visit them.

Three hairline cracks around the screen and more call failures than ever.

:p

Apple instore customer service is brilliant, they replaced my iPhone 3G last week without any fuss at all. I had the same level of service when they replaced my 14 month old iMac wireless Mighty Mouse.

They are great, ive had £300+ of free repairs on my macbook.

(6months out of warranty, without apple care)

Not to mention a replacement iPhone (unregistered!)

LOL i'd say they just make cheap s**t products and happy to replace them as you've paid 10 times it's true cost anyhow.

My brothers had no end of problems with his macbook. The case keeps splitting, it's a design fault apparantly. From what he has said Apple have been spot on though!

Nice to hear of a company actually looking after customers.

Have not really tested it properly.

Like for like, I would say it's better.

I am draining the battery and testing it tomorrow, then I can compare it to my normal workload.

Suggestions for improvement is the following,

  • Turn off 3g
  • Dim screen
  • Turn off bluetooh
  • Turn off wifi
  • Block screen as much as possible
  • Moderate volumes on ipod

Will let you know tomorrow.

:)

  Better than yours. C*nt.

So, don't use any of the features you bought it for and make it impossible to read the screen, and if possible don't use it at all?

Intelligent. Why not do what SE did with the Xperia, which was make a battery that could cope with the drain...

I was joking there :p

And make a good looking phone with a s**t OS?

Yeah well done SE.

Abandon UIQ (which with a decent level of development could rival android/mosx) and piss off all your customers by producing s**t.

Bring back ericsson.

Hey guys, I work for Apple in one of the retail stores, Yea we hope it's good customer service, but what grinds me is getting bad customer service in other shops (and PC World adverts lol)

It seems they probably are according to the web site.. :D

Worryingly they say "gifts" which normally includes iPod's etc.. let's hope for a £200 off the Macbook's... ;) :p

Do you work in the one in Glasgow? Got my iPhone 3g changed there nearly 2 weeks ago no problem at all! Very friendly staff from moment I walked in the door!
