Apple mac OS - Advice please

I've just been given a Mac notebook with OS9 on,

Can anyone in the Mac world tell me how I can re-install the OS as it seems to be throwing up software errors/missing drivers etc. Never played on a mac so info would be good as I've never done it before :S

Our department in work is an all MAC department but we aint had to touch OS 9 in years...

Im on me iBook as we speak...LOL

It's not a new notebook, it's only a G3 400Mhz
Just haven't had chance to play as it just keeps throwing up software errors. Just might come in handy sometime. ( If I can get it working right lol )

I'm not sure it's worth bothering if it's only got OS9 on it.

i have a mac at work running os9.
Os9 seems better with fonts?

I have some machines here still running OS 8.6, they do what they need to do though still though!

Andi get the updates of the Apple site and get it running 9.2.2 and it will be ok'ish.
