Has anyone on here actively used an Apple TV for extending their desktop?
I currently have dual monitors with a PC. I bought a MacBook a few months ago, and I like to idea of going to single 27" monitor in 2560 res.
My plan was to effectively use an Apple TV as a wireless HDMI, but I was wondering whether there is any speed loss or anything by not using a proper HDMI cable?
My full plan was to use a HDMI splitter, so the Apple TV can output to both the TV and the new monitor, and I could mirror/extend to the TV for films etc, and extend to the new monitor when I'm at my desk and want more screen estate.
All sound good, Apple TV connection good?
