Arch Liners, what are they protecting?

  ITB BG 182
Well, what are the arch liners protecting.
Im now missing both my arch linings, thinking about it though the drivers side is the side with all the belts on.
Could some thing possibly get in the engine bay area from a wheel and cause more than a little of problems.

not protecting as such, just to prevent build up of crap on parts. All moving parts round there are pretty well protected as it is. You don't need to worry about driving without them really.

rear of your foglight is nicely exposed without arch liners, had a stone smash mine to bits when i was missing an arch liner.

Passenger side it protects your horn and all the wiring guff for the fogs.

If you leave it off long enough your horn will stop working (as I found out yesterday lol!).

Drivers side is where all the belt and pulleys are. Wouldn't fancy running without a drivers side one tbh

fare one luke, but didnt the cup racers used to run without them (might just have imagined that though )? covers on the cambelt should do the job really, but the aux is pretty exposed I suppose.

Not sure mate but these are road cars and not cup racers lol

Probably won't do anything if you don't have them in but for what they are i'd rather have them.

Cup racers don't continually run round in rain, mud, snow, cow/horse s**te and other stuff that you find in the real road world either. Theres no way in hell i'd want to be without them, if they weren't need renault wouldn't fit them and save money!
