Are axle stands and a trolley jack enough to change cat??

as title really, got to look at the joint from manifold to CAT and ive only got axle stands and a trolley jack. will this give enough clearance?

yes, but it'll be uncomfortable. you'll likely need someone to help as well

yeah no problem. Even with a ramp I prefer to lie down to do it

not really (although you might need to muck about with different extensions, etc) - it's mainly that you might be there for a while if it's all corroded up

Pain in the arse to connect it back upto the mani - just pay a exhaust and tyre garage 30 to change it over ( go to any independant garage) trust me it is money well spent.

i'm gonna take my stealth off to try and adjust it and stop it from banging (3rd time lucky?) so i'm gonna check the cat joint at the same time. so car will be up on stands anyway, just didnt know if it was easy to get to.

if you're spanner friendly, it's not a massive job - just takes time/patience if it's all corroded up

you'll almost certainly need someone to hold the bolts from the engine bay whilst you work underneath

I've done it single handed once. f**k me i swore a lot.
