Are my front discs transferable to the back?

Car  PH2 172
looking to get some brembo front discs for my 172 and was just wondering if its possible to put the discs i take off the front, on the back? and if so, is it worth doing?

i just assumed with them being bigger they'd be better than the small ones on the back! im guessing its a stupid question anyway by the response, but im not a mechanic or even know the slightest thing about how anything on a car works!

so can someone tell me why its such a stupid question?

Basically the way a brake setup works is on front to rear bias. The front brakes will generally always be significantly bigger. The rear setup on the 172 is solid with a smaller diameter. the disc is specifically designed in conjuction with the caliper so you will not fit the much fatter vented front disc into the caliper.

On top of that it is not worth putting a vented setup on the rear of a light car because you wont get the heat into them to work properly. My rear bias is set to 10% with a almost identical setup to a 172 and its spot on

ahh right i see, cheers. just nipped out and had a look at both discs, wish id of done that before i asked the question!

ive noticed that whilst looking round the forum! i wouldnt use the term hostile tho, far better words to describe those kinds of people!
