Are there any good PS3 flying games?

I loved the open skies and take off/landing options of the microsoft flight sim but i used to love flying war games too only i never liked the fact that missions started in the air already

is there anything like that for the ps3 ?......a technical flying game basically

I need a new game to play before the onslaught of releases in november :rasp:

No. IL-2 Sturmovik Birds of Prey is your closest bet, you start off in the air but you do get the option to land for extra points at the end of a mission.
