Are they goin gto mess up ??

  Fiesta Silver Limited Ed.
Hi there i was wondering if you could help me, i drive a 2002 plate 1.2 clio with 14" pie tyres on there at the moment, i was considering purchasing a set of 16" 172 alloys, only thing is will this affect the speedo reading in anyway?? if so what size wheels would you suggest??

hope someone can help - would be very grateful !!

thanks for looking

assuming your 14in tyre is 185/60/14 and the 16in tyre is 195/50/16, your speedo will be reading 4.1% slower than if you had the 14in tyre on. ie, at indicated 60mph on dash, you'll be travelling at 62.5mph.

hardally worth worrying about is it?

again assuming your 14in tyre is 185/60 and your 15's are 195/50 your speedo will be reading 0.3% too fast. ie at 60 on speedo you'll be doing 59.8mph.

you have nothing to worry about at all either way mate. the differences are insignificant. your speedo will overread slightly anyway when using stock tyres/wheels.
