Armourfend...have / would you..

  Mk2 172 (Silver)

I have a hooooge stone chip on my bonnet and others are popping up all the time, so Im thinking I need to do something!!!

Ive seen a couple of examples of http://www.armourfend.comArmourfend....one a Caterham which was raced...and its worked really well, the other is a brand new Focus RS....so no real chance to see if its worked but I wasnt too impressed as I can see an inch gap between the film sections on the front bumper!!

Ive had a quote and to get the whole front, lights, bottom half of bonnet and top rear bumper on the 172 done...its about £200 + VAT and also fitting costs.

Im not sure about the whole covering the bodywork thing....especially when you can see joins.....but as a starter I might just go for the lights, spotlights and back of wing mirrors to protect them from chips/damage (cost roughly £40 + VAT and fitting)....

Anyone any experience of Armourfend and is it worth it....how does it fair with age??

Em

My mate had this stuff fitted to his VTS as a optional extra 2 years ago and his is still looking good!!

It was fitted by the main dealer so he made them refit a couple of bits as the joints (mmmm Spliff, doh wrong joints) were visible!!
