AST top mounts

I've got AST top mounts that are currently being used with AST suspension. I hear that these need machining for different struts such as Bilstein or KW. My question is would I need to get them machined for use with standard Renault struts or would I need to buy new top mounts?

if its got an inset for the shock piston then AST's use 14mm shafts, most others are 16mm
