Iv got a 1.2 2003 still under warrenty, my automatic headlights stopped working last night. any1 had this problem? easy to fix?
If you leave the wiper switch on the top position then it wont wipe at all the first section down just turns on the auto, the next down have them on constantly.Quote: Originally posted by chris182 on 04 December 2004
Is there any way to turn them off auto as when you put them to intermittent (sp) they just wipe when they want, not when i want.
The ring round the stalk determines the "sensitivity" of the sensor i.e in its lowest setting it will ignore small drizzle and in the fastest setting the slightest drop of water will make the wipers wipe. Although I find it annoying as it never wipes at the right time or its on the wrong sensitivity setting so you have to change the thing anyway!Quote: Originally posted by chris182 on 04 December 2004

I find the auto lights and wipers very good though.
So we dont have intermittant any more, as this should be at the first position down?
So what is the point of the ring around the stalk, as this should be to control the frequency of the wipes.
As for not having to remember to turn the light on ,should you really be driving a car if you dont know when to turn the lights on
Im just lazy dont like having to do work even as little as switching the lights on.Quote: Originally posted by chris182 on 04 December 2004

^ Oh right, mine do.
The stalk doesnt spring back on its own, i have to push it back to turn my full beam off.
Its strange because when auto lights are off all i do is pull the stalk and hey presto quick flash, springs back.
Very annoying.
sorry wasnt sure what you meant, yes you have to pull the stalk again afterwards, it does not spring back on its own.
Same happens to me too! I thought I must be doing something wrong, as I must have blinded the poor guy coming the other way..Quote: Originally posted by Leo182 on 04 December 2004
