Aux belt path on a diesel

Can anyone tell men the aux (alternator) belt path on a 98 plate 1.9 diesel clio? it snapped and disappeared before I got chance to replace it, it's got a grooved crank pulley, a plain pulley next to it and a grooved alternator pulley. It looks like the tension is provided by adjusting the alternator forward and backwards, but not sure how the belt runs.
If someone could even take a quick pic that would help. Why do the 5 minute jobs take all weekend?

i dont have autodata on this pc but i will help you to understand how they are routed you should be able to figure it out.

1. starting at the crank pulley, it turns clockwise, so the longest run is going to be to the right of that pulley, so the engine can pull the belt as opposed to push it

2. anything that takes a lot of torque to run it (ie power steering pump or alternator) will want as much contact with the belt as possible, most of the time wrapped 3/4 of the way round the pulley.
3. the tensior if its the alternator - you cant really go wrong as we have already determined what sort of belt contact that needs
4. the plain pulley is either the water pump or the idler, and should be obvious where to put that as you've already routed the other two pulleys.

draw where the pulleys are on paint and i'l figure it out for you
