aux belt

when the car is turning over I'm getting a screeching noise, I've been told its the aux belt. a friend of mine has said he will change it but do I just need a belt or is there other parts i need, its a mk1 172

On mine the screeching was the belt, tensioner and faulty alternator.

Hi

need so more info, just rung renault and they said there are 2 tensioners an idler tensioner and a spring loaded one, will both need changing.

also what sort of prices have people paid for these items

had mine fitted with a service for £250

Yeah it's not cheap. Had my second one changed at 65,000 when I had the cambelt done.
