Aux input lead and two batteries!

Two questions for you all. I need to get a Kenwood Ca-C1AX AUX input lead for my Kenwood MP6090R head unit. Just been quoted £45 by letsbuycaraudio. Anyone know where I can get them cheaper?

Next question, I want to install a second battery into my car probably in the spare wheel well. I know I can use the power cable that is already runnning the length of the car for my amps to bring the power from the alternator to the second battery, but what do i need in terms of split charging stuff to get the alternator to charge both batteries?

What are the best batteries to use? advice and reccomendations greatly appreciated!

Yer just get a good deep cycle battery !! Connecting up two will be a pain in the arse and not worth the hassle !! as above a yellow top or similar !!

Really? hadnt thought about that! Reason for going for two was so I could install a pc in the car, leave it turned on when going in the house so I could transfer files over wireless network.

Hmmmm cheers guys maybe that is the way to go!

Whats the difference between the red top and the yellow top?

Yellow top is deep cycle and gives greater cranking ability at high current loads. Red top is a starting battery (not deep cycle). Both use Spiralcell technology, so if they do go flat, they can be recharged much more quickly and effectively. Ive got a yellow top as I dont drive my car that often. Best battery! (imo). Where you based?
