AV People - Speaker Advice

I'm currently building a floating wall in the lounge and am looking to get a speaker fixed on the front of the wall or some floor standing speakers. Can anyone recommend what would be best?

Anyone done something similar?

I don't want surround sound or nothing fancy. Just need something that gives a nice sound. I was thinking these....

These are a superb deal at the moment. I realise you say you don't want surround but at this price they are difficult to ignore.

That is a good deal. Not sure I want wires running everywhere though. Would I need an external amp or would it run ok just through tv?

i've got some monitor audio bx2 speakers think they will mount flat to a wall

so you could have them floating mid way up the wall and have the wires coming in from behind and still hidden

You'd need an amp with it. I'd get this with it.

You would then have a £1250 system for the bargain price of £550 which is bloody good imo!

As for the cables they're not that bad. Just run the 2 surround cables along the side of the skirting board.
