Backbox just fell off!!!! Advice needed

My Cobra backbox has just fallen off of my 172. I knew it was cracked slightly but it has just completely collapsed.

The problem I have is that the box that has just come off is custom and has been cut into the bumper.

Can anyone tell from the pics if an off the shelf box like a Magnex will fit the recess or will I need to go custom again? I'm guessing there could be issues with centre pipe fitting as well as that is custom too.

Pic below. I want another twin 3'' if anyone has any suggestions.

It looks like it is going to have to be a Powerflow job as I need this fixed ASAP before I can get my now overdue MOT.

Has anyone had any experience of Powerflow in Leeds or does anyone know anywhere else close by up to the job.

I have just measured the diameter of the pipework entrance into the box and it is 60mm. Am I right in thinking that 73mm is the optimum for the 172? If this is the case, I amy as well get a full new system.

What were costs like Bio and timescales?

I could do with this sorting in the next couple of days as my MOT has run out and I desperately need the car.

I'll have a google and see what I can find. Simon at ASK has also told me about Tony Law in Hunslet and Larkspeed in Crossgates?!? Didn't know they did custom.

Just read that 60mm seems to about right for performance.

larkspeed dont do customs , check there web site thats where i gto my magnex from , was a 4 day wait if i remember corectly for it.

i just turned up at powerflow (alpha tyres) , mine was just a case of takin magnex off then cutting a pipe and welding it in right place so about 30 mins , cost 20 quid . just turn up sure they`ll give u a quote
