Bad earth. 182 Brake Lights/Indicators

I have an issue with my brake lights/indicators

They function correctly but it makes my rear fog light indicator (on the dash) momentarily light up. (None of the lights on the back are affected)

I'm assuming its a bad earth somewhere i've checked the rear connections and they are fine.

Any ideas?

Dismantle the rear clusters and give the connectors a clean, spray some WD40 on them too to help drive out any moisture.

Have you checked the main earth at the rear cluster?

Inside the boot compartment, I forget which side but there's a bolt to the bodywork of the car which is the main earth for the rear clusters. Check it's not loose/corroded.

I had something similair, indicating right cause CC to cut out and rear fog light (on dash) to flicker. Cleaning wasn't enough so had to slpice in a new connector on the right hand rear cluster.

Driver side, ;)

Also Tom, if you have a look in the connection and their rust, i advise you to change them, my pins eventually snapped off due to rust

Doubt its the earth tbh, generally tends to be tracking in the bulb holders for the rear clusters due to moisture ingress in my experience. A good period in the airing cupboard should dry them out some.
