Badge Removing

Car  cock mobile.
Washed the car and the M broke off my boot, so thought right I'll get rid of the whole badge, been meaning to do it anyway.

Got badge off and with a lot of hard work the layer of glue, however was left with some marks on the paint from the glue residue.

It feels smooth if that makes sense, tried to polish it off but to no avail.

Is glue and tar remover the best option here?

Heard white spirits can also be used, will this damage my paint?

Cheers :)

try tar remover, wont hurt the paint. i would avoid white spirits imo.

evevn IF its ok, you cant be sure, so id give that a miss!

used white spirit on mine for tar removal etc (tiny bit on a rag) and it's ok, as long as you give it a good wax after.

Heat up the remaining residue with a hairdryer, and a quick wipe with some AG Tar and Adhesive should sort it.
