Ball joint replacement 2011 cup 200

My mechanic said I needed a new balljoint but has now said you can't buy the joint on its own. Is it true that it comes only as part of the suspension arm? at £208.00!

You can buy them on their own. There is a guy on clio197.net that sells them .

Lower ball joint replacement DIY

right lads looking for a bit of advice off anyone who has replaced the lower ball joint on a 197/200 themselves. Attempted it today but it's bloody slow as the cars 10 year old and don't thing the suspension has ever been touched, so naturally I've ended up having to cut or drill most bolts out...

Thanks for that, pretty conclusive evidence. It was going to be £500 to replace ball joint and front spring!!. Seems a bit high ??

You can actually buy the ball joints from renault as they are on newer cars like the A110 if its a lower one.
