Easy to change? Are there any guides about?
Cheers!
Cheers!
Not rocket science.
Two bolts holding them onto the wishbone, and a pinch bolt on the underside of the hub.
Getting hold of just the ball joints is probably the trickiest bit, as they normally come complete with the wishbone. IIRC, people use Meg ones, as you can buy them separately.
Oh, and a ball joint splitter is invaluable with removing the old ones!
Afaik, shouldn't do.guysy said:Just a question on topic, Does the tracking need to be done after?
offtopic: are the cup pack 182 ball joints different from the 172 ones? larger bolt holes if I can recall?
I got a pair delivered for about £20, nice and cheap and very easy to change.
Car did need tracking afterwards though so might be worth gettting it checked!
I think your right. Cup pack 182 ball joints only come with lower arms iirc.
^^ did you get your track-rod ends done aswell maybe ?
Yeah there's no difference.
I didn't have any other work done (track rod ends), I replaced the ball joints myself
