basic iphone help _ noob

im trying to put ictures on my 3gs from the computer.
ive done it threw itunes and used the sync function.

i no the pictures are there as i can see them when i go onto settings - change wallpaper.
yet i cant see them when i go onto photos from the menu.

any ideas?

they should be under photo library and not camera roll in the photo's app?

cant see them, click on the photos shortcut,
then it says menu with camera roll under it and nothing else
