Bearing press kit

Hi ,

Does anyone have any recommendations on a bearing press kit, I need a s**t load of inserts at various diameters.

I always retain old bearing races and using sockets is always hit and miss whether I have the correct size.

I borrowed a set from a mate at work to press in some powerflex bushes which was perfect, I then checked to see how much it was and it was £600 or so :O

Don't want to be paying that much ideally!!

Get @Louis to turn you a load of diameters on a lathe from off cuts of round bar.

The kit you linked looks pretty comprehensive.

Saw this one which is a bit cheaper but doesn't cover the range that your link had

I bought these two on ebay about £60. So far been successful beating out an outer race from a front hub and a bearing from a rear drum.

I just use the cups out of this set which works well. Get to use it off the press too. £75 but I'm sure you can get them loads cheaper

Cheers mate. Went for this in the end and it's fantastic. Really decent for the price (£99)!

Used it loads already, the walls are 5mm thick so pretty strong

Good man. Looks like a nice set. They are pretty handy for doing rear arm bushes on loads of cars because you don't have to remove everything and carry to the press.
