Bedding in tyres

Yo guys, whats the general consensus on bedding / wearing in new tyres? i read something somewhere like drive "slowly for 300 miles" or summat awful!!

getting me new pirellis fitted sat morning.

Si.

drive on them like you intend to drive on them

personally dont think it makes a difference, the compound of the tyre will still be the same

Often feel a bit slippy to start with until all the *rap has worn off the surface. You will feel the difference after a few miles.

Take it easy on then for the first hundred. Its not so much bedding in the compound, but bedding/sticking the tyre against the rim.

You drive too badly for the first few miles and it might just pop off or collapse into the rim.
