Well, just got a letter off Grovewood who are organising the Renault Trackdays this year, few bits of info for ya all.
Danny Watts (Renault Formula One driver in waiting will be there to give us the benifits of his racing experience (driving advice and also giving hot rides)
There will be 2 V6 255s, and theyve doubled the amount of 172 cup road cars being brought along. (cant remember how many were coming along originally)
They are also hoping to have a specially tweaked version of the 172 cup courtesy of Renault motorsport engineering guru John Millett and his Team R.Sport Ltd. They are burning the midnight oil this week trying to get the car ready for Bedford, but if all goes well they are hoping to give the car its debut with reigning Clio Cup champion Paul Rivett at the wheel, also they are hoping to give some hot rides in the R.Sport car.
They are also bringing along the Spider Cup race car Graham Saul campaigns in the 750 Motor Club sportscar series, and he will be giving hot rides throughout the event. With almost 190bhp on tap and weighing less than 1000 kgs - a ride should be a memorable one.
19 172 cups, 20 172s, 8 V6s and a Spider road car have entered for the day.
