Been offered a Clio 16v!

Sold my last Clio 16v about 3 years and missed it something rotten. Spoke to my mate today and he said that hes just got a new car and wants rid of his valver. I know him well and its in good condition apart from he thinks either the gearbox or driveshaft has gone. Said if I can get it running again for a good price I can have the car for nothing as otherwise itll just be sitting there!

Anyone have any idea how much itll cost for a recond gearbox or driveshaft as Im not too mechanically minded!

i paid £50 for a gearbox from ebay, and fitted it myself over a weekend with the help of a mate - much cheaper than the £900 garage quote!!!

Know how you feel mate. I sold my old valver and regretted it! Now i have me a 2.0l hybrid! lol

I payed £500 for a recon box and fitting on my last valver mate. As for if its a driveshaft.....not much so long as it aint f**ked the gearbox aswell
