Seriously, my sisters partner got basically everything he had upgraded like Internet, phone, tv all because he said he could find better elsewhere!

it'll be a minimum-term rolling contract, much like a mobiel phone contract.

You wont get deals on set-top boxes as you technically rent them anyway (unlike Sky) but this does mean you get them replaced whenever they go wrong, no questions asked (covered for accidental and liquid damage).

You cancertasinyltry to hammer out a deal, but you better have some deals to quote and be prepared for them to just say "fine" and set you up for disconnection.
