Beer in my car - valver radiator...

driving into work today in my valver, noticed the temperature climbing qutie quickly. pulled over and checked the water level and theres no water in it! dripping out of the bottom of the radiator.

I had a bottle of water in my car so i added that and it didnt have much effect. The only fluids i had left in my car was a 4 pack of Stella. I added them one at a time. Started the engine back up and the temperature went back down and stopped climbing. Finished my journey to work, 15 mins late, and here i am now, sitting at my computer.

Anybody got a 2nd hand valver radiator they want to sell?

when i poured the first one in, it was obviously still "quite warm in there" i got a face full of froth thrown back at me. valvers arent big stella drinkers it seems

not the best idea in the world. It contains gas (fizzy) and this could have serious implications if it pressurises. Lets hope its gone flat.

the expansion tank cap has a pressure release valve in it as your water system presurises under nomal use. the cap releases at a safe pressure so it shouldnt be an issue. at the moment the pressure release appears to be the bottom of the radiator.

luckily i didnt pay for them, they were left over at a party, if i just forked out money for them, i would have had to think about it a bit more
