best advice for 182s - opinions please

Now i aint going to pretend that i know a lot about modding and tuning cars and the difference between an inlet manifold and a gdi blah blah

so i was just wandering for someone like myself who loves his 182.........

however hasnt got a clue what to do to get it faster/sounding better/smoother acceleration...............

whats everyones opinions and advice on what to do and also how much it should cost. dont want a chavved up car just a sleeping giant without paying 30k lol

cheers guys looks like inlet matching and decat and panel filter are winners so far lol if anyone has the time to and can be arsed would they mind telling me exactly what they do and cost please

also after all this what would bhp would my 182 be and what would all this give me??? better sound? acceleration - like i said i havent a scooby ( a clue not the car ;-)

saying that, i had a tussel with a trophy. It had decat, cat back exhaust, viper and angelworks inlets and it was EVEN. I actually got the jump on him with one run. My 182 is compleatly standard.

as we all know the engines vary a lot, some are tighter than others due to how run in etc and mileage on them. So the trophy might have had fook all mileage on it.

Inlet match makes the biggest difference for the money I would think.
 
I would say remap make's the biggest over all diffrence for the money, but if your doing other mod's remap should be last on the list!

apparently my mate off here reckons it would be around the 200 quid mark....

and would probably take it up to 182 bhp as i believe 182 does not stand for bhp isnt it a french equivalent?!?!? or am i talking out my arse????

what exactly does inlet matching do??? like what exactly is it and what does it do...... in english!!!

and a 182 is even 179bhp without port matching inlet tract and re-map because of the sh1te casting on manifold

the head is machined therefore near perfect everytime, the manifold and plenum are cast and are of varying quality

a 182 with an RS inlet will gain very little according to Ben R, they are very good as standard.
