best command and conquer type game on the pc?

what would you say it is? ive done all the command and conquers, sudden strikes,and rise of nations, and a couple of ages of empires, any ideas?

i'd say any of the command and conquer ones! the first ones are the best i think. starts to get a bit slly with the newer ones

Supreme commander should be out soon and looks mint, it's the successor to Total Annihilation, you'll need a serious PC to run it though. Tried the Beta on mine and it wasn't pretty :dapprove:

Oh and don't forget that Command and Conquer 3 is due out soon, same 3D style graphics as Generals (much better though) but back to GDI + NOD with the cheesy cutscenes :approve:

C&C Generals Zero Hour for me - still the benchmark. As the Hoff says above, the Total War series is a cracker too - just make sure you have decent hardware to run the latest Medieval Total War 2 - that's a proper resource hog.

Company of Heroes is a good one too - much better imo than the Warhammer titles from the same company (Relic).

Starcraft without a doubt,

not just my favourite RTS game but perhaps all time? Its so long overdue a sequel its untrue.

The original total annihilation and its add were also excellent.

thing is my pc isnt the best pc, it handled c&c general, it was a little slow in some bits like the cut scenes but on the whole it was fine, had that warhammer 40k one and that was the same the cut scenes were a killer but it did run fine in the game, i prefer the tanks and stuff side of things in c&c so thats why i dunno if i would like star craft with space ships and aliens?

Got my eye on this one. I couldn't get the open Beta working on XP64, but I saw some people trying it on XP32 PCs. Seems quite in-depth from what I saw. Isn't it the same geezers who made TA that are making Supreme Commander?
