best engine bay ive seen was on an evo i think or possibly a scooby, it was running 600bhp+ and the guy had spent 30k i think on the engine.

im pretty sure it was turbod AND supercharged... but i could be wrong

The 180 degree trumpets are to increase the length of the inlet tract to improve the midrange. The other way to achieve the correct length is to cut the scuttle panel.
