Best engine mod...

Hi guys,

Thinking of lightly modding my engine and was wondering what people thought the best path to go down is e.g. superchip, air filter etc?

do u know how much more power nd torque u got in mid range revs

164.9bhp at the fly standard, to 177bhp and 133lbft torque With air filter and remap on Janspeeds rollers.

Yep - I was wondering about it being a bit to big of a gain from just that. 3 Runs were done standard and Avg BHP taken from the 3, then another 3 done after filter and Map and Avg BHP taken again from the 3 runs.

me and a few other people have been running de-cats for almost 3months now, not a flicker of the emmisions light!

I think it really is pot luck if it comes on or not

I still have 3 de-cat pipes left from a group-buy I organised, PM me if interested?

I've got an aftermarket stainless that came with the car, and I don't have a clue what will and won't fit... how can I work it out?

Now this is if you buy the following brand new..

Itg Maxogan - looks ace, adds slight induction noise 1-4 bhp rougly... £380+

De-cat, ITG pannel filter & rs tuner kit, more drivable car, animal sound :evil: 8-12 bhp rougly.... under £300


Depends what route you want to go down but i would say the ITG maxogan is more of a final piece or if you just like showing off your engine bay... Pound for power you can do alot better, but the best mod to improve The clio, in my opinon is weight removal

Oh & with regards to imissions lights, just cover the finnal sensor up & wedge it under the heat shield, no chance of it coming on at all then
