Best engine mods for V6 please!

Calling all fellow V6 owners,id like to up the power of my V6,any good mods i can do and what should i steer clear of?

What does a air induction kit sound like on a V6,i had one on my CTR and it made it sound brilliant when in the vtec zone.

Any help and advice would be appreciated

Pipercross will soon have the Race Viper kit ready for the V6. It can handle upto 600 bhp and made a noticeable difference to mine, sounds great too. Had mine chipped also and custom exhaust from Quicksilver in London.

theres not much out at the moment for the v6 - ive fitted NOS on mine but im going to be dropping in a tuned up motor shortly - the best person on the sight to contact is project 254 - he can do anything to these v6,s and has got all the old racing equipment and engines etc from twr - the company that designed and built the v6 for renault. Hes selling me a 300 bhp engine shortly and fitting it for me. pm him - see what hes got to offer - air filters dont work by the way - and neither does the download chip that most companies say gives you 10 bhp extra.

I agree the chips dont make any difference that Ive noticed on the V6, except providing better fuel economy when youre cruising. Most standard aftermarket filters arent that effective when youre at this level of Bhp, even the Pipercross standard Viper kit is only good to about 250Bhp, The Race Viper is much more capable and I noticed a definite improvement in mid-range power.

u can get superchargers apparently, i met some old boy with a mk1 v6 lexus clusters, big spoiler, alloys etc and he was sayin he was getting it done

Viper Race kits will be available soon from any Pipercross dealer. My car was the guinea pig for fitting it, so now they have all measurements etc. The new kit eliminates the 90 degree elbow bend in the original airbox to provide a straight through feed. K-Tec Racing have photos of my car which I believe they may publish on their website soon. Retail price is £250.
