Best Exhaust mounts for 172 mkII

Hi People,

I have had fitted a after market exhaust to my car but the mounts are not strong enough to with stand the weight of the new exhaust.

I have looked in the Demon Tweeks catalogue for some but don't know what ones to get? :S

All I need to know is what are the best ones and what is the size that I will require? mm?

What your after market exhaust is heavier than a standard one!?

I thought the standard one was fairly heavy?

Yes,

It keeps rattling on the heat shield under the car. The mounts can't seem to take the weight of the new exhaust? Sportex after cat system.

some ppl have modded the back box mount , square thing , cut the renault rubber out place a ford one in costs under a fiver , use some glue and tie wraps.

It's in the mid section where it seems to be hitting though? And where it has the twi bores at the end........one of them seems to be going at a strange angle. :dapprove:

I have seen some mkII's with this problem. Is it the mounts? They seem really flexible rather than rigid.

if its a magnex one on a 172mk2 the first small bit needs some cutting off as it will nock onb the suspension bar thing
