best launch for 60

Wuts the best way to launch to 60 miles? how many revs? where to drop the clutch ??

when myself, Craggy, Rhys, Joe, mailto:M@tt">M@tt and Blaze met up we all tries different techniques.... for me the best was to nudge the car forward so it was rolling slightly then floor it. Ill be practising when i get some sticky tyres on Saturday though..

Larger surface area on the road at the point the tyres make contact with the tarmac, thus more grip.

Technique:

1. Find a big puddle - get tyres nice and wet, then spin the wheels for all youre worth until the rubber is dripping off.

2. Rev the nuts off the car, drop the clutch and do your 0-60 run - grip will not be a problem.

3. Fit new tyres, start again at (1).

Get a HIGE loan to pay for all the new tyres!

get it on first gear

pull hand brake.. dont lose the hand brake botton go. keep on pressing

get the engine till 4000rpm with clutch point (the point where you can get the car stopped on a climb without brakes.. the engine burning clutch. Dont know what its call.. )

let the back of the car bed down since its FWD

Drop hand brake and floor it.

Give it 3 runs and take notes.

btw, this might burn some clutch, but its fun to do.
