Most will say R888's but depends what you want from a tire, R888's won't last long compared to road tyres.

direzzas are pretty awesome, or pilot cups for a slightly less track oriented tyre.

Yup.

R888s for out right grip/handling (or handkook rs2's apparently).

For longevity/handling/ride/etc its a mine field.

I personally think PE2's are the best all round tyre but again it differs from person to person.

Michellin Pilot Exaltos (for a Clio at least).

Grip from new to bald.

Grip from scorching heat to freezing cold.

Grip from dry as your nan to wet as an otters pocket.

Very progressive and along with lasting a long time to boot!

There isn't any. I didn't even consider paradas lol. Id have bought some RS2's but they are rare as rocking horse s**t. 7 week waiting list at the time.

So had to get some proxies to put me on. I dont really rate them but are good value for money & pretty grippy.

I've always though PE2's are best for wet, dry and durability.

But I'm impressed with P Zero Neros wet and dry - far cheaper too!

Honestly can't fault them, mine are in need of replacement and they still inspire confidence rain or shine. Fantastic tyre but they do cost a fair amount. Would highly recommend them to anyone, especially Clio owners.

Other tyres might give more grip in the dry but you don't really need it on the road and you will sacrifice wet weather performance.

^ Get them in 195/50 instead of 205/45. They're only £50 on the net. At least they were the last time I looked!

gone up to £90 and the proper 182 tyre sizes are 110 a corner. and thats from camskill. bad times

£90 on blackcircles for me too, £100 fitted

ahh that's 15" you're talking about, got 190 55 15 PE2's on the pug

ph2 172 and 182 are 16"

Had PE2's on the car when i got it and hated them.

Much prefer the yoko paradas i have on my cups. Grip in the dry is awesome, just a little suspect in the wet when they have a few thousand miles on them.

The yokos have just about past it so for the sake of budget i've gone for some Proxies PX4's, will get them on in a couple of days and find out whats what.

Got a set of 4 delivered for £116 so if they are crap i'll go everywhere with the fronts on fire.

You are joking, they are good in the dry but leathal in the wet!

So true, any tyre if pushed when not scrubbed in or warm will be dodgy.

I've got 2 sets of speedlines at present one with RS2's & the other has R888's.

The Rs2's are very good, not 100% in the wet but i can live with that.
In the dry the Conti 3's were fine but these just raise the bar so high.

Will try the 888's next but i've used these to yrs so have an idea of what to expect

Replaced them with Dunlop Sport 9000's and they are untouchable by anything i've tried
