Best Strategy/RPG Games on the 360

Having played the likes of Mass Effect, Fallout and most recently the brilliant Heroes of Might and Magic from Xbox Live, just wondering what other games people would recommend of a similar ilk?

I'm not interested in New Vegas and heard the latest Dragon Age is a bit lame. Maybe Final Fantasy 13, or are there any good games on Live? Really enjoyed Might and Magic a lot (and would 100% recommend it!)

Ah touche...yeh had seen that one actually Darren. Also been looking at the latest Civ (not meant to be that good?) but when I'm at home I'd rather sit on my sofa playing on the big TV rather than in my room on the PC.

No other decent turned based games out you know of mate? Ideally I'd like Advance Wars or something like that!

Oblivion - Elder Scrolls, but you've probably played it. If not do it, Skyrim's out in a few months too. Heard Borderlands was decent too.

Cheers for the suggestion mate..but stumbled over a game called Puzzle Quest 2 on Meta Critic and looks like Might and Magic, only better! Think I'll be getting that this evening!

Put a good few hours into that view Steam on the PC. Don't expect a HOMM alternative - it isn't basically. Just a Bejeweled clone with some RPG elements thrown in. Still a good game imo though.

Yeh..played it for a few hours last night, was ok but presentation is a bit poor. I like simple game mechanics but with decent presentation, this was a bit too Spartan. On HOMM all the units are cool and battles are more exciting, although PQ2 is a lot more strategic so I can see it getting better later on.

What about the Fable games? I've never played any but I've always heard good things about them.

Have you managed to see/play HOMM5 on the PC yet? By far the best in the series - so much so that I think HOMM6 really does have it's work cut out. PC only though...

Played and comlpeted Fallout 3 (wicked game!) but no not tried Fable series, worth a shout actually!

Fable is excellent/addictive.

Have you done fallout new vegas? Better than number 3 imo (still as buggy though!)

No I have not Luke, I played F3 to death but New Vegas looked a bit too similar and a game like that annoys me as I MUST collect everything if I start!

Exactly! Also on F3...after about 30 hours found it to easy. First bit walking out into the desert, seeing something running at you from miles away was genuinely scary!
