Best Trim Restorer?

  Audi TT 3.2 V6
Hi Guys,

I clayed/polished/glazed/waxed my car about a month ago. I was a little slap dash and got some polish on some of the trim eg wing mirror surrounds etc. Now ive tried some nasty back to black on them which restored the trim for a couple of days before going white again.

What products do you suggest that will last a few weeks before neededing another application?

Also any tips on avoiding doing this in the future? Any tape i can buy to protect them whilst polishing as well as not doing any harm to my paint.

Thanks, Russ

Clean with Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner or Einszett Plastic Cleaner.

Dress and protect with Autoglym Bumper Care.

cheers guys.

Do halfords sell meguiars all purpose cleaner? i know they have AG bumper care. If they have both i may go and take advantage of their 3 for 2 offer.

The best thing for " removing " any white bits on your black trim is a pencil eraser / rubber . It actually does remove wax / polish whereas all the trim restore products just mask the white bits for a while but the white bits will return . The best for dressing the black trim is WD40 .

  Shed.
Ag Bumper Care beads even when used on arch liners after driving through rain.

Bumper care is good s**t, gives the trims a healthy new look and it beads too. Been using ti for quite some time and itl mask the white marks left by polishing.

I holds up as well as the new age raved about stuff like black wow, I would not use it to try and mask stuff, deep clean the trim first.
